Raisin with her Best Friend!
Our retired dogs are typically dogs that have achieved success in various competitions or shows during their active career at Popway. After retiring, they often continue to live happy and fulfilling lives as beloved pets. I believe that sometimes we are meant to train, show, and raise our dogs for a greater purpose. Some of our retired dogs have gone to “fur-ever” homes to become Therapy Dogs, Service Dogs, and Companion Dogs. I think of our retired dogs as our children who have grown up and spread their wings to make the world a better place.

"Aggie" is the sweetest girl, but don’t let that fool you. She runs our yard like the Queen Bee and demands respect from the younger crew. She has a gentle way of discipline and always wants to please. She was handled to her championship by Lisa Sobosz and Sean Boyle while most shows in the Southeast were being cancelled due to COVID.

"Albert" was a lovely boy out of ELHID's Long Road to Grace ~Gracie~ x CH. Talimar's Trendsetter ~Blake~. I knew from the time he was 4 weeks old that he was the one for me! We were going to name him Popway's Stuck On You, but every time we caught him into something we'd say....hey, hey, hey, leave it! Our granddaughter said "Grandma, you need to call him "Fat Albert" because when you say hey, hey, hey it reminds me of Fat Albert. Hince, the name!
He was a beautiful boy inside and out with a sweet gentle temperament that made him a dream to live with.

"Raisin" was the pick puppy out ELHID's Duckling "Darby" x BISS. Ch. Sureshot Hyspire Impressive "Travis". We co-owned her with her breeder, Coleen Kincaid at ELHID Labradors. She was absolutely beautiful and had a sweet gentle temperment. She was one of my favorite labradors. We can't thank ELHID Labradors enough for sharing this special girl with us!

Willie had quite the adventure to get to us via a few different transports and one infamous dumpster dive! Hence his registered name. It took a village to finally get him here and for that we are forever grateful!
